Yes. Etheria Counseling is currently accepting new clients for counseling and therapy services. We work to maintain short wait times so new clients can begin care as quickly as possible.

No. A physician’s referral is not required to schedule counseling services with Etheria Counseling. You may contact us directly to schedule an initial appointment.

Some insurance plans may have their own referral or authorization requirements, which we can help you verify.

You can request an appointment online through our secure patient portal or contact our intake specialist directly at 843-868-6200.

Our team can help match you with an appropriate counselor and schedule your first appointment.

Our standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Some clinicians offer evening appointments, and select Saturday appointments are also available. Appointment availability varies by clinician.

We provide in-person counseling at our Myrtle Beach office as well as telehealth counseling throughout South Carolina.

Telehealth counseling allows clients to meet with their counselor remotely through a secure online platform.

Telehealth appointments are available to appropriate clients who are physically located in South Carolina at the time of their session.

This allows clients throughout South Carolina to access Etheria Counseling without traveling to our Myrtle Beach office.

You will need a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone, such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.

We recommend participating from a quiet, private location where you feel comfortable speaking openly with your counselor.

Etheria Counseling serves clients ages 6 and older, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

We provide counseling for children and teens as well as individual counseling for adults. Services and clinician availability vary according to age, presenting concerns, and individual treatment needs.

No. Etheria Counseling does not currently provide in-house psychiatric medication management or prescribe psychiatric medications.

When medication evaluation or management may be beneficial, we can help coordinate or facilitate a referral to an appropriate medical or psychiatric provider.

Faith-based and Christian counseling perspectives are available for clients who specifically wish to incorporate their faith or spiritual beliefs into therapy.

Faith-based counseling is optional and is provided according to each client's preferences and treatment goals.

Etheria Counseling accepts many major commercial and government insurance plans, including:

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), UnitedHealthcare (UHC), Cigna, Aetna, Molina Healthcare, Medicare, South Carolina Medicaid/Healthy Connections, Healthy Blue, Select Health, AllOne Health, PAI, and MultiPlan.

Insurance participation can vary by clinician and individual plan. Before your first appointment, our team can verify your insurance benefits and provide information about expected copays, deductibles, or other patient responsibility.

Insurance verification is not a guarantee of payment or coverage by your health plan.

Self-pay options are also available. We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash, and checks.

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.  Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a $35 late-cancellation fee
